concern of
Mohata family.
Mr. Gopal Lal
Mohata started
Khandesh Roller
Flour Mills Pvt.
Ltd. in the year
1980 in Jalgaon.
This was the
first company
started by Mr.
Gopal Lal Mohata.
This unit
commenced
operation in
1981 as a joint
venture between
the current
owners and the
country’s
strongest
milling group
which later sold
its stake in the
unit to the
current owner.
His brothers,
Mr. Suresh Kumar
Mohata and Mr.
Shivshankar
Mohata, later
joined him in
the family
business. Over
the years the
company has
emerged one of
the biggest
flour mills in
the region. |

plant is located at Jalgaon. It has
a registered capacity of 290 TPD.
The plant has the capacity to
produce the products mentioned

Khandesh Roller Flour Mills Pvt.
Ltd. is a closely held private
company. The main shareholders are
the family members of Mohata family
and the firms promoted by them. The
directors of the company are:
Mr. Gopal Lal Mohata, the
eldest of the three brothers in the
family. He has wide experience in
the flourmill business and has good
contacts in the industry. He is
President of Maharashtra Roller
Flour Mills Association. He looks
after the procurement functions of
the company.
Mr. Shivshankar Mohata, is
associated with the family business
since the start of his career. He
looks after the day-to-day affairs
of the company and the plant in
Jalgaon. He is responsible in a
large way in making the flour mills
owned by the group run smoothly and
successfully.
Since the inception of the company,
Khandesh Roller Flour Mills Pvt.
Ltd. has been banking with State
Bank of India (Jalgaon – MIDC). The
procurement of wheat in the company
is from Mandis and Adathiyas spread
across Madhya Pradesh and
Maharashtra during the arrival
season of wheat. The company is also
procuring from FCI (Food Corporation
of India) during the non-peak
season. With the coming if the firms
like Australian Wheat Board (AWB)
and Cargill in the wheat
procurements and trading business,
many flourmills are procuring from
them. Cargill and AWB provide
funding along with procurement wheat
on behalf of these flour mills. The
company is selling in the consumer
market, bulk supplies and contract
manufacturing. Products are supplied
all over Maharashtra, Karnataka,
Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Tamil
Nadu. |

The
directors of the company are:
Mr. Ajit Bedmutha, has
studied cost accounting. He looks
after the production in the company.
He is been very active in the
operations and bringing it the
market because of his good contacts.
Presently, he is involved in
liaisoning the group with big MNC’s
Mr. Ghevarchand Bedmutha, is
with the plant since its
incorporation in 1981. He has vast
knowledge about wheat processing and
helps the company with his 40 years
of experience.
N. R. Brothers Roller Flour Mills
Pvt. Ltd. is associated with State
Bank of India for its banking. The
company is procures wheat from
Mandis, and Adathiyas spread across
Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The
major production of Atta from the
plant is supplied to defense
(800MT/month) on contractual basis. |

established in
1984 by Mr. R K
Patel who then
was in tobacco
business and
diversified in
food division.
In 1991, Mr.
Shivshankar
Mohata took over
the company from
its previous
owner. When R.
K. Patel Food
Pvt. Ltd. was
taken over the
capacity of the
factory was 60
TPD which is
200TPD now.
Under the
current
management, this
company has
shown an
outstanding
growth. Recently
this plant has
expanded its
capacity in
chakki atta
plant by 50 MTPD. |

Jalgaon) Maharashtra. The company
has installed capacity of 200 TPD.

The
company is selling its products
under the brand name of “MAHARAJA”
in the domestic market. The main
shareholders are the family members
of Mohata family and the firms
promoted by them. The directors of
the company are:
Mr. Shivshankar Mohata, has
been associated with the flour
milling industry since past many
years. He is responsible in a large
way in making the flour mills owned
by the group run smoothly and
successfully. Everyday more than 45
truckloads of finished goods moves
out and the same amount comes in
under his supervision. He is a
marketing genius.
Mr. Suresh Kumar Mohata,
takes care of all the technical
needs of the group. He has been
involved in the Flour milling
Industry and the Construction
industry. He accesses and manages
all business expansion and
diversification proposals. He has
tremendous knowledge about the flour
milling industry.
R.K. Patel Foods Pvt. Ltd has been
banking with State Bank of India.
The company is procuring wheat from
Mandis, and Adathiyas spread across
Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra
during the season of wheat. The
company also procures from FCI (Food
Corporation of India) during the
non-peak season. The company is
mainly selling in the domestic
market by retailing its products.
Additionally, the company has
tied-up with institutional buyers.
Products are supplied all over
Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat and
Tamil Nadu. The company has also
started exporting its products. The
exports are currently to Indonesia
and Dubai. |
