Mohata Family has interests in various businesses, one of them being Flour Milling. The group is into processing of different finished and Semi finished wheat products which include Maida (refined flour), Rawa/Sooji (cream of wheat/farina), Atta (wheat flour) and Bran. Khandesh Roller Flour Mills Pvt. Ltd., R. K. Patel Food Pvt. Ltd. and N. R. Brothers Roller Flour Mills Pvt. Ltd. are three units that constitute to the milling business of this group. The milling units have been on a progressive route becoming most respected milling units in the state and among the best in the country.

Boasting of a clientele of most-preferred food and beverages MNCs Parle foods, Hindustan Lever Limited, Britannia, Gits, Ricco Foods etc. as well as catering to local markets far and wide. The company has made its own forte. It is also serving the nation by milling flour for the army through a leased unit in Manmad, Maharashtra, on contractual basis. The market for the group can be divided into three categories namely,

  • Contract Manufacturing.

  • Consumer Market.

  • Bulk Supplies.

The group is on a set route to success and is viewing opportunities to counter the current unstable grain market internationally by considering forward integration plans. One of the units, Khandesh Roller Flour Mills Pvt. Ltd., has introduced Kesari Rawa which is used in South India in large scale. Kesari Rawa is produced from Durum wheat which contains high protein and has goldenish color. This wheat gives unique look to the food prepared out of Kesari Rawa.


The group enhances its market share with average yearly growth of almost 20%. The consumers are varied groups, corporate, agents, departmental stores, distributors and retailers. The better the distribution channel better are the sales. Most of the buying is impulse so shelf space makes a huge difference in increasing sales.
